FAQ

What is the duration of an internship through Evergreen?
Our internships in Ireland last from 6 weeks to up to a year.

Can you guarantee that I will complete an internship that matches my requirements?
Finding an internship abroad depends on several factors, such as start date, duration… and depending on the requirements of our partner-companies.
However, on our registration form, we ask our candidates to indicate three sectors of interest, to maximise the number of options available, in case we can not secure a work placement for your first choice.
Through our telephone interview, we also try to understand the candidates’ objectives, so that we organise a professional internship that matches the criteria of each candidate.

Please also remember that, while you will develop and exercise your skills in your specific field, other activities are more likely to be included.

How long does it take to organise an internship?
This depends on different factors, such as the profile of the candidate and his/her requirements. Generally, we recommend applying a minimum 2 months before the potential start date of the internship.

Will I be paid?
Approximately 80% of the internship vacancies that we offer include a monthly allowance, to help with the cost of living in Ireland.

I sent you my registration form and CV, what’s next?
We will email you with a quote, based on the option that you have selected. We will also organise a telephone interview, which will help us establish your level of English and understand the objectives of your internship.

Do I have to pay for your service?
Our internship placement service incurs a fee, depending on the option that you have selected (Please see our internship options). Our fee is payable to secure and guarantee your internship and stay in Ireland.
However, approximately 80% of the internship vacancies that we offer include a monthly allowance, meaning that you can earn back your Bronze fee from the first month of your internship!

I will need a visa to come to Ireland, can you help me?
Unfortunately, we do not provide the service of organising your visa. You can however contact the Irish Embassy in your country, or refer to the visa section of the website of the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs for more information.
You will need to ensure that you will be able to obtain a visa for the full duration of your internship in Ireland.

What kind of assistance do you provide during the internship?
It is important to us to stay in touch with each of our intern. We do organise follow-up meetings with candidates and hosting companies to ensure the internship is of value to both parties.
We also invite each candidate to contact us for anything related to their internship and stay in Ireland. We do try to ensure that both internship and stay in Ireland are of quality, bring value to the intern and is an enriching experience.
